Sustainability Report 2008

Marine Harvest is pleased to launch the group's first Sustainability Report.

In 2008, one year after the merger of Pan Fish ASA, Fjord Seafood ASA and Marine Harvest N.V, Marine Harvest published the group's first report on corporate social responsibility (CSR). Despite limited consolidated data on group level, the report showed Marine Harvest's commitment to corporate responsibility.

This year Marine Harvest publishes a sustainability report, replacing the CSR report, with more detailed data from our global operations.

Transparency and an open dialogue are prerequisites for progress. Marine Harvest's performance needs to be discussed openly both internally and with stakeholders.

Our sustainability report is still not covering all relevant statistics. Data collected from global operations are in some instances not fully comparable, and an improved quality control in relation to data collection is needed before further details are published on a group level. Marine Harvest's goal is to improve transparency further in the coming years and to publish more detailed statistics to support the continued improvements of our operations.

The full report can be downloaded below, including a GRI-index indicating where in the report you will find answers to specific GRI-related questions.
